About the club
We meet regularly on the last Wednesday of each month, usually in central Bury St Edmunds. Meetings include talks on a sailing related theme, quizzes, social events, visits to boatyards, the London Boat Show and other events, and relevant training seminars.
Members have moorings from Great Yarmouth to the Mediterranean, although the majority sail or motor out of Ipswich, Levington or Shotley Marinas.
The club is affiliated to the Royal Yachting Association and Harwich Area Sailing Association.
Our history
The club was formed over 30 years ago by a group of sailors attending navigation classes at Bury St Edmunds college. Meetings started in a local pub and have been held in various venues over the years. The club has also enjoyed sailing trips abroad and home.
